Description
Candidate’s primary responsibility will be day-to-day customer support for the department’s Public Key Encryption program. This would include direct support to the program’s customer base, providing technical and logistical solutions, coordinating with other support groups, and operating as part of the larger Public Key Encryption Support team. The candidate must:
- have 3-5 years experience in the Information Security field
- have an active security clearance or be eligible for one
- be a U.S. citizen
- Bachelors, or 3+ years of experience in the Information Technology field
We are looking for someone with talent for analyzing problems, developing and simplifying procedures, explaining complex tasks and ideas in an easy to understand manner, and finding innovative solutions. They must be a team player and proactive contributor, with ability to identify subtle or overlooked problems and implement solutions before they escalate. In addition they must be adept at diagnosing software/hardware problems to root cause. The candidate will also be responsible for such tasks as performing daily backups, monitoring and reporting on system statuses, assisting with implementations of new technologies, and writing technical documents. The position requires a general understanding of Public Key Infrastructure technology and theory. Familiarity with two-factor authentication products is desired, but not required.
