Seeking multiple candidates for Program Analyst and
Project Managers assisting the DOE Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy
Reliability in preparing for the next wave in Green Technology.As a member of the Smart Grid Technical
Support Team, preferred candidates will have a background in Power Systems
Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering
and experience in assessment and evaluating related systems and technologies
for implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
·Initially, Program Analyst will be a part of the Evaluation
Support Team.
·Responsible for assessing grant applications for
compliance with guidelines specified in the Federal Opportunity Announcement
using a check-list driven method.
·Assess grant applications with guidelines specified
in other source documents using a check-list driven method
·Update records management system and grants
evaluation system with assessments
·The Program Analyst will transition to the Award
Support Team in the role of a Project Manager. Project Manager will be
responsible for a number of awards:
oOrient new Awardees to the management process
oEnsure that actual costs match to the financial plan and to the
expected value of project milestones
oRecommend approval or rejection of invoices
oMonitor the project for adherence to the financial plan and to the
milestones
oRecommend appropriate interventions
oProduce summary, detailed, and ad-hoc reports
oEnsure that awards adhere to the requirements of the Recovery Act,
guidance and policies, and standards of the Department and the Office
oUpdate the Records Management system
Qualifications:
·Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering,
Power Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a
Physical Science (Masters/PhD Preferred)
·Large Federal Government Agency Experience Strongly
Preferred
·Ten to fifteen years total experience
·Five to ten years technical experience
·Five years project management experience
·Preferred: experience administering grants, as a
contracting officer's technical representative, or as a project manager of
Federal contracts,
·Excellent writing skills, Team Oriented, Self
