William Teel honored at University's Awards Ceremony

1Source’s CEO and President Inducted into Bowie State University’s ROTC Hall of Fame

Washington, DC. (March 31, 2016) – 1Source is pleased to announce that Bowie State University Department of Military Science’s Army ROTC has inducted William R. Teel Jr., CEO and President of 1Source, to the Army ROTC’s Hall of Fame.  The “100 Awards” Ceremony honored the leaders who have emerged from Bowie State University’s Army ROTC program.

A native of Anacostia in Southeast Washington, D.C., Teel was the first in his family to graduate from college.  Despite challenging beginnings, Teel went on to earn a ROTC commission to Second Lieutenant from the U.S. Army in May 1987 as a Military Police Officer, and later two Masters degrees, including an M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and a Masters in Information Technology from Bowie State University.

Teel attributes his successes to the BSU ROTC Program saying, “I am honored and humbled to be recognized by the university. The tools, training, and experience I gained at Bowie State through their ROTC program taught me many valuable skills that I continue to use every day both personally and professionally.” Teel continues to support the BSU ROTC program by donating and financing the Bowie State University ROTC Military Ball.
