Windows System Administrator (20-026)

Location: Washington, DC

Security Clearance Eligibility: Active Public Trust Clearance is required

Duties and Responsibilities:

1 Source is looking for a Windows System Administrator to work collaboratively with other contractors and federal staff at the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshoot escalated tickets and issues
  • Basic physical/virtual machine management
  • Patch and upgrade existing software
  • Troubleshoot issues in a Windows environment
  • Update certificates that are close to expiration
  • Respond to alerts when outages occur
  • Ensure the environment is running smoothly by analyzing data from monitoring sources
  • Report to management on current issues and roadblocks in the Windows environment
  • Write scripts when needed to solve problems
  • Documentation and knowledge base building
  • Make recommendations to improve the environment


Education and Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred
  • 2+ years of systems administration experience
