Infrastructure Project Maanger (18-055)

Location: Washington, DC

Security Clearance Eligibility: Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance

Duties and Responsibilities:

1 Source is looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager to work collaboratively with other contractors and federal staff at the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) to lead the system administration teams focused on making critical changes on TTB’s Infrastructure while assisting in leading the path to develop the next generation of TTB technology solutions. They major key to the success of this position is the on-time delivery of projects with effective communication to all levels of staff. Other duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Exceptional ability to manage large, transformative enterprise IT infrastructure initiatives sponsored by the CIO that impact multiple LOBs and/or products
  • Manage multiple IT Infrastructure projects in the areas of Network Operations, Cybersecurity, Active Directory, Cloud Infrastructure, Virtualization, Disaster Recovery, Data Center Migration and Hardware Deployments
  • Serve as a liaison and a leader between subject matter experts, department heads, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, business partners, and government agency partners
  • Perform all phases of Project Management from Project Planning to managing Project Scope and managing Project Risk; while completing projects within tight time frames
  • Continuous risk management analysis to properly identify risks on-time and propose strategies, assisting improvement processes and procedures within the team
  • Researches, prioritizes, and follow through on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the CIO, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature
  • Provides documentation support, including developing/maintaining/enforcing standard operating procedures, drafting all outgoing correspondence to include letters, memorandums, and acknowledgement letters and support the development of deliverable and other project documents
  • Effectively communicate business objectives with senior management to drive business forward
  • Prepare and report project status on a regular basis, including metrics needed for various groups
  • Ensure all required Fiscal Year activities are on track for completion
  • Complete a broad variety of tasks for the OCIO Office, to include: lead/support financial lifecycle functions, procurement, perform financial risk management, support budget acquisition activities, and prepare confidential correspondence
  • Work closely with the Windows Admin Team, RHEL Team, Infrastructure Team and customer engagement teams to resolve technical and logistic issues

Qualifications:

Education and Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 8+ years of experience
  • 5-10 years of project management experience delivering various IT solutions within budget in an enterprise setting
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical environment with a variety of IT systems
  • 5+ years of experience leading the execution of IT projects in a Project Manager, Task Manager, or Coordinator role

Required Skills:

  • Broad knowledge of information technology systems
  • Strong working knowledge of network technologies and concepts; e.g., Active directory, Windows servers and OS, and Desktop applications such as Office and SharePoint
  • Exceptional ability to communicate technical decisions/issues to different stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Leadership skills to successfully manage diverse teams

Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • Master’s Degree in a related field
  • PMP certification
  • Agile Training/Knowledge
  • Technical background in Systems Engineer, IT Operations, and/or Windows and SQL environment
