October 8, 2007 – The EagleBank Foundation held its 3rd Annual Golf Classic to fight breast cancer on October 8, 2007 at the Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, MD. The purpose of the benefit was to raise money and donate the contributions to the cancer programs at local area hospitals such as Suburban Hospital, Shady Grove Hospital, Providence Hospital and the Washington Hospital Center. EES contributed as a Silver Sponsors donating $3,750 helping beat the disease that attacks 1 in 8 women.
Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
EES and 1 Source employees walk in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in efforts to help raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer
June 2, 2007The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is the largest 5k run/fitness walk in the world. Over the past 25 years the organization has raised nearly $1 billion, making it the largest nonprofit source investing funds in research, education and health services. Their promise is to "save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures." On Saturday, June 2, Team EES/1 Source community contributed to this promise by raising $680.00 in addition to participating in the 5k race.
Uganda School Children Benefit
1 Source Sponsors Arlington Academy of Hope’s "BYOB - Bring Your Own Bag" Benefit For Students In Uganda, Africa
August 13The Arlington Academy of Hope (AAH) is an academic elementary school in Bumwalukani, Uganda. AAH is dedicated to building a solid educational foundation and basic healthcare for children in one of the world’s poorest countries. This August, AAH hosted a “BYOB – Bring Your Own Bag” Benefit in hopes of collecting leftover conference bags and old back packs from local businesses. As one of the main sponsors, 1 Source donated conference bags to replace the Ziploc bags that the children had been using to keep their supplies safe while coming to and from school. In addition to the hundreds of bags donated, 1 Source also donated an iPod and $100 iTunes Gift Card to be awarded to the individual who brought the most bags.

September 7, 2007This August, 1 Source and EES held their annual "Back-to-School Drive". Employees of 1 Source and EES joined together to help provide much needed school supplies for children coming from low income families. With the help of our generous employees many students at Hart Middle School were able to attend class fully prepared and equipped with the necessary materials and supplies needed to start the new school year off on the right foot.
Community Outreach Helps Rebuild Hart Middle School’s Library
June 29, 2007The Community Outreach program continues its sponsorship with Hart Middle School as they work with Hart to help rebuild the school’s library. Brand new computers were donated by EES and 1 Source and delivered to the school’s library. The new computers will be used to upgrade and refurbish the schools outdated and dilapidated library.
CEO Donates $10,000 to His Alma Mater, Charles Hart Middle School
April 26, 2007Principal Willie Bennett gathered his 8th graders into the auditorium of Charles Hart Middle School on Thursday to listen to 1 Source Consulting/EES guest speakers William R. Teel, Jr. (CEO) and Kenji Darby (Director of Communications-Outreach). Both natives of the southeastern area of DC where Hart Middle School is located, the two representatives spoke to the students of the personal struggles they endured growing up and how they persevered, becoming successful businessmen. William R. Teel, Jr., who attended Hart Middle School, and Kenji Darby presented a check to Principal Bennett in the amount of $5,000 to help fund for needed jackets, school uniforms, gym uniforms, and school supplies for the students. After touring the halls and classrooms of his alma mater, Mr. Teel decided the school was in need for much more than $5,000 and announced that he would donate new laptops as well as an additional $5,000.
